About

The heart of my practice is connection and collaboration. Through connection with kids and families together we learn about their strengths, needs, goals, and what brings them joy. With this information, I know we can develop strong, practical (and evidence-based) plans that support positive development. Next, through collaboration between families, schools, community organizations, and practitioners, we can build a supportive community around the child as they learn and grow.

Dr. Stephanie King is a licensed Psychologist who specializes in neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and learning needs in children and youth. Through strong partnerships with families and schools, she supports families with understanding the child’s strengths and needs, and develops comprehensive, actionable plans to support positive development.

Her practice focuses on thorough evaluation of the child/youth’s strengths and needs, to inform recommendations and interventions for success at home and school. Collaboration with families is at the heart of her work, and the end goal of the evaluation process is a family's deep understanding of a child’s needs and recommended supports so they can empower, teach, and advocate for their child across environments.

  • Dr. King’s education, training, and work experience have led to a breadth of knowledge and practical experience with children and youth in the areas of neurodevelopmental disabilities, the education system, and implementation of evidence-based intensive interventions.
